Weekly Wishlist: Fall Footwear

Hey guys!

Happy Friday! Now, I don't know if we've talked about this before or not, but I go through shoes like crazy. Seriously, I've been wearing out shoes in no time since I got my first pair. This is not an exaggeration. I was walking by 9 months and legitimately wore out my first pair of baby shoes.

I live up a big hill and walk to work, so I end up walking a bit over a mile uphill and a bit over a mile downhill each day. On top of that, I use public transportation and walk to get around town, so for me, shoes need to be pretty practical. They also get a good work out.

To get to the point, I wore through most of my fall shoes last year, and have already just about destroyed a pair this year, so I've got shoes on my mind!

This fall, I'm dreaming of a couple of pairs of great booties like the ones pictured above. They're perfect for cold, drizzly Seattle days, and both of these would look great with either dresses and skirts or jeans. I also live in flats on the dryer, warmer (for fall) days, so I've been pretty seriously eyeing this pair from ModCloth, and just fell completely in love with these Seychelles flats. They come in multiple colors and I want every single one! The half inch wedge makes them super comfy and ultra practical.

Also, I live in Seattle. Usually the rain doesn't get to be more than a light drizzle, but every fall and winter we get some super rainy days. That means a Seattle girl has got to have a good pair of rain boots! I love these Hunter boots since they're super practical for wet days, but also sport some gorgeous plaid to keep them really fun and pretty.

Last but not least, a modest pair of heels. Yep. As the holidays approach, I do occasionally want a good pair of heels. I think these would look amazing with almost every fancy dress in my closet, particularly with that lovely color palette!

Do you guys have any favorites?

I hope you guys have a fantastic weekend!

Til next time!

  1. Oh woah, I can't believe you have to walk so much. It's no surprise you go through shoes so easily! I LOVE both those flats, especially the red ones!

    1. Haha, yea, I do a lot of walking. It's actually the most practical mode of transportation for my work situation, which is kind of funny. Those red ones are the cutest!

  2. I have certain pairs of cheaper/replaceable basic flats I wear while I'm commuting/walking lots and change shoes at work. It has saved countless pairs including my favorite pairs I know I'll never find anything like again. Love these picks, especially the DV ones!

  4. #1! #5! #2! Love! I walk all over too, living in Boston, and it's really amazing how quickly shoes get worn out. This year I need a good pair of warm, waterproof winter boots--I've been getting by on the same old pair for years and they just don't hold up to the city snow drifts.

    1. I'm glad you like them! I think those are my tops from this list, too. Your plan for boots sounds like a good one. I don't tend to need super warm shoes for living in Seattle, but if I lived in Boston I'd be all over that!

  7. I want #4. Really, really badly. Because you can never have too many pairs of red shoes (or too many pairs of shoes in general...) But those ones are so pretty!

  9. Funny that you post this because I've just been thinking of getting something similar to #4. I've never bought flats in my life =O! It's either high-heel shoes, heavy winter boots, or running shoes.

    1. Oh wow! I pretty much live in flats! I will say this, they're much more comfortable if they've got a little mini wedge to them (like #2), but pretty comfy either way!

  10. I so love those red and gold studded babies. Beautiful shoes! I wear flats so often it's a joke and I have massive shoes so it is hard to get replacements sometimes! X

    1. I love flats so much. Oh, that must be tough! I always feel really lucky to have small feet for my height. I'm 5'11" and most of the ladies I know who are that height wear at least an 11. I got lucky and wear a 9.5!

  11. Ugh, those red shoes are perfection! I wear orthodicts, which means only old lady shoes for me! >__< I wish I could have cute shoes like these picks!
